An itch to scratch.

Updating is not my forte. And omg no pictures@@@

Every year as summer gets closer, I always feel the need to go back and replay some final fantasy game. It’s usually either FF9 or FF7, those being my favorite. Sometimes I touch upon X or X-2, but not so much.

I’m having a hard time deciding what I want to do though. I’m kind of a perfectionist. Kind of though. So I’m more of a procrastinating wanna-be. Something tells me I’m probably going to end up playing X-2 just to get through it, because I never have, and what’s not to love about three girls kicking ass in pretty outfits and all that jazz. But I’ve always wanted to attempt this. This problem is, I’m stupid, and I don’t know how using my PS2 would work as far as saving game files. I’ve tried to read up on PS1 and PS2 memory card things, but I’m still unsure if I can save games on my PS2 that are actually PS1 games, because of the differences in how they save. I guess I should try it myself, but I am lazy and want to play different games.

I have not blogged in a while. A long while. Okay, more than that. I have excuses though! Many things have been happening in life and I’ve been extremely focused on beating Tales of Vesperia, which I did so the other night. Therefore, to the best of my ability and until I feel like not typing anymore, I shall now review. I’m rusty and probably don’t have anything witty to say though, so… sorry. ಥ_ಥ

Let me start off by saying that I LOVE this game and became completely addicted to it once I stuck with it. This tends to happen with most RPGs and myself, but a good amount of the time I don’t see it through until the end, until about a year later because the first try I got stuck on one part and never picked the game up again. Until that year later. Perfect example would be Kingdom Hearts 2, because I hated Roxas… and that’s very silly because it was only the beginning of the game, and that year later when I picked it up again, I missed him when he was gone (bawwwwwwww) but this isn’t a Kingdom Hearts 2 reviewish thing so I’ll shut up about that now.

Neglect is a bad thing.

So this past week I’ve been rather sick and busy, leaving game time in a corner for time out because it was being too time consuming and not more important than dramatic family time and babies. This post is probably going to be kind of short on account of I’m still not feeling good and sleep is my bestest buddy.

On my birthday I was given F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin. When I played the demo, I have to admit I was genuinely freaked out but I liked it. I haven’t played the original F.E.A.R. game but I’m slowly picking up the back story to all of it. So far, what I’ve learned is that some scientist type dude locked his daughter away and did mean things to her. Now she wants to destroy everything. Awesome.

I’m rich! Wait, no, I’m not.

So yesterday we had a visit from my aunt who I haven’t seen for a while. She was gonna come by during the holidays but it just didn’t happen. To make up for that, and as a happy early birthday, she gave me a cute giraffe thing that can be really tall with short, dumb arms or really short with freakishly long arms. She also gave me purple and white striped fuzzy socks that have hot pink on the toes and heel (they’re really comfy but EXTREMELY HIDEOUS. Thanks Auntie!)
Also 75$. That’s the most I’ve had in a good while so I immediately (and carelessly) spent it on two games.

It was burning a hole in my pocket anyways.

First one I’ll talk about it Rune Factory for the DS. Yet another game that I wanted ever since I heard about it from Sally (stop making me want games that are especially hard to find). Ignore that last part of the () bit, because I wasn’t actually looking for it. No, while on my quest to get one of two games that I was actually looking for, I just happened upon it in the used games section of an undisclosed video game store. But the truth remains that it is still hard to find at stores, because it is older and the only games you find at stores nowadays are the popular ones that are less than a year old. Unless it’s like… Halo, or something.

You know, let me start this off with a thought. Here I was, sitting here thinking that Kingdom Hearts was the only FRIENDSHIP POWER! game. Now, after saying that, let me say this:
Damn you, Square-Enix. Damn you and your spikey hair fetish, your angst fetish, your friendship fetish, your skinny beyond belief fetish, your one-character-has-to-be-mysterious-and-another-a-dumbass fetish, your MAKE-PEOPLE-BAWWWWWWW fetish, and all other fetishes that you have that I don’t WANT to even think about.

Now I’m getting into some bad habits… I put down TWEWY with Angst and Ass-For-Brains to jump into some big-breasted, bouncy, ‘respectable’ fun in Tomb Raider (only to be scared shitless by bears and hate ledges… a lot), then after boring myself with a water puzzle in that, I pick up a game which I got for Christmas but discarded rather quickly to drool over my Xbox 360.

While I am so close to beating TWEWY with Angst and Ass-For-Brains all pumped up and ready to go, I find myself losing a little bit of interest so I’m taking a small break from it (that’s also me making an excuse for myself to level Angst and Ass-For-Brains up as well as their shiny little pins that need to be bloody evolved). Today I ended up picking up a game that came out a while ago (I am really behind on some things) for my 360. The game I picked up was a used copy of Tomb Raider Anniversary, a game which I’ve heard both good and bad reviews of. One particularly funny review can be seen here. Personally, I love the Tomb Raider series. I’ve picked nearly all of them over the years (even the failure Angel of Darkness that I couldn’t force myself to finish). Needless to say, I’m a fan. I liked the exploring aspect of the games as well as the fact that it was one of the few games that had a woman as the character you played, that got dirty and didn’t play with horses or dressed up in all pink. I never was much of a girly girl, suppose that’s why I like Lara so much.

OH MY SWEET, LITTLE, GAY JOSHUA… I AM DEARLY SORRY. However you will never hear my words EVER… because I judged you and you felt like you owed me something!!! Here is where I insert the Dear Sister skit from SNL because I am far to lazy to make a comic about the scene where I went BAWWWW and Joshua went BOOM and sad. But it has perfect music, and that’s the purpose of inserting the skit. And I’m just gonna continue to write like this, yup, because I can and I feel to have more than two run on sentences. OKAY. By the way no the ‘me’ is not me, it’s just some kid who put himself into it. And it’s the only one I could find that didn’t have rickroll or wasn’t an embedded hater.

Today I found out something about Joshua as I played through day four. It made me RAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE. But words cannot describe my thoughts, so instead I made a beautiful comic strip for all to enjoy (at least I say it’s a comic strip really it’s a shitty and funny (to me) paint job OK) But it is after ze jump for spoiler reasons though it probably dun spoil much. ಠ_ಠ LOOK NOW.
